The four-year-old boy who was struck by a drunk driver in August unexpectedly died in his Seattle hospital room today.

This story struck the community hard before he passed away, and even more so now.

The scuttlebutt is that the teenage driver and her passengers were completely indifferent to the boy and exhibited a ton of attitude to the officers who arrived on the scene at the time of the accident assault.

So much more to say. I doubt the entire story will ever make the news. Truly, truly a sad commentary on the human condition.

Say a prayer for the family.

Comments:
My wife and I have been saying prayers for the boys parents. Especially since we have boys of our own! What is wonderful, is how this community is helping this family in ways that will never make it to the news. Too bad they don't cover that aspect as much as the accident itself.

I'm sure the driver will face negligent homicide charges at this point. Jail for a long time. Poor choices, bad consequences, no common sense. No winners here. Though I'm sure the boy is at peace now in heaven.
